How to Make Your Own Room Spray and Diffusers with Fragrance oilsUpdated 2 months ago

Making a Room Spray or Diffuser with your favourite Village Craft & Candle fragrance oils an easy and customizable process, and a great way to expand your product offerings for your customers.

Every fragrance oil offered on Village Craft & Candle is provided with technical documents that give you more information about the product - an IFRA document, and an SDS document. The IFRA sheet is what will be providing you with the information you need, namely, the safe allowable concentration that fragrance can be used in a particular kind of product. The document itself is separated into categories that target different kinds of uses - the one we'll want to be paying attention to for Room Sprays would be section 10(B), while Diffusers would be covered by 10(A) - Example below:

In this example, this particular fragrance is stating that it can be used at a 45.4% concentration in our room spray application, and 36.6% in a diffuser application. That means that if we're making a 100ml room spray bottle, of the total 100ml, 45.4ml of that would be fragrance oil, with this particular oil. For a diffuser, it would be 36.6ml of the total 100ml. Please be mindful that every oil is different, and will offer different safe allowable concentrations. Always check the IFRA on the product page to be sure!

Success with your Room Spray and Diffuser products will ultimately come from experimentation and creativity, enjoy the process!
